Former presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba has lambasted American tech giant, Twitter over its decision to establish its African headquarters in Ghana.

Recall that Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, had announced the selection of Ghana as the country where the firm’s headquarters will be based in Africa.

Jack made the announcement via his platform, Twitter on Monday, April 12, 2021.

“Twitter is now present on the continent. Thank you Ghana and Nana Akufo-Addo,” his tweet read.

Reacting to the news, Adamu criticised the company over what he termed hate for Nigeria because she is the ”next African superpower”

He stated that Nigeria is safer now that Twitter has chosen to domesticate its office in Ghana.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote;

”I pray Ghana would not allow their country to be used as a platform for the orchestration of nuisance on the African internet space.

”Nigeria is safer with the Hypocrisy of Twitter. We shall have to improve on our methods for elimination of Fake News on the informationspace.

They just hate Nigeria because they know that the only country that can be the next African Superpower, fully democratic, highly mobile population & good working age population is Nigeria

Twitter came to Ghana to target Nigerian market. They won’t admit they need us, but we know”
