Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken to social media to blast the young man who told 80 year old Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka to get up, move to the aisle and vacate the window seat for him on a commercial flight.

FFK believes the young man is disrespectful and irreverent and should have allowed Soyinka to remain in the seat.

I like sitting by the window but often the ticketing officers oblige me on request. Pa WS should have done that than this “The man dies that keeps silent in the face of tyranny”. “Metal on concrete jab my drinking lobes” – The very first line of the Interpreters, and till today, I do not know what that means. Having said this, I as a real native Yoruba man will NOT ask an 80 year old man to vacate a seat for me. I wouldn’t just be able.

The fact remains that Soyinka was wrong to have sat in another man’s seat when he has his own already and it’s a commercial flight where everyone is assigned his seat so why sitting on another Man’s?

Dats why corruption is still growing up in our country, i believed every seat has ticket number, why then is he occupying a seat that is meant for another ticket, respect is a reciprocal.
