1. Tinapa Shopping Resort
Tinapa Shopping Resort is a huge mall, whose total retail area covers a total of over 861,000 square feet, making it Nigeria’s largest shopping mall. The shopping mall is located in the Tinapa Free Zone, close to the city of Calabar. This large mall is owned by the Tinapa Business Resort Limited, a local company in Nigeria. The mall opened on April 2nd, 2007. The design and construction of the shopping mall were carried out by an international team of experts drawn from Nigeria, South Africa, and Germany. The mall is aimed at exposing the beauty and resources of Cross River State to the outside world and since its inception; it has brought employment opportunities to hundreds of people. Shoppers who visit the shopping mall get to park the cars in the large parking area that has a capacity of 4,000 cars. No doubt, you will agree with me that Tinapa Shopping Resort is among the largest shopping malls in Nigeria.
2. Polo Park Mall
Polo Park Mall is another large mall located in Enugu state of Nigeria with a total retail area of 0.242 million square feet. The mall is owned by Broll Properties Services Limited, but its development was carried out by the Persianas Group. The Polo Park Mall is so huge and has six anchor tenants. The building that houses the shopping mall is made up of three floors. The opening of this large mall took place in 2011 by the Enugu state government.
3. Ikeja City Mall
Yet another large shopping mall in Nigeria is the Ikeja City Mall located in Ikeja region of Lagos state. The construction started in 2010 by the owner Broll Property Services Limited, a leading real estate company in Nigeria. The mall is among Nigeria’s largest shopping malls, with a total retail area of about a quarter of a million square feet sitting on a building made up of two floors. Shoprite and Silverbird are the two anchor tenants of this large shopping mall.
4. Jabi Lake Mall
Jabi Lake Mall is an Abuja landmark on the Lakeside of Jabi and renowned for its vast selection of over 120 stores. Beyond shopping, the elegant mall also houses a number of restaurants and entertainment options, including a Cinema. It is worthy to note that Jabi Lake Mall has 733 car parking space available for free with 24/7 monitoring; A bus stop and separate area for pedestrian making the mall public friendly; 4 ATM’s at the north and south end on both floors of the building. 5. Ado Bayero Mall
This large shopping mall founded in 2014 happens to be the first ultra-modern shopping mall in the Northern part of Nigeria. This mall is located in Kano state and was named after the city’s longest serving Monarch His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr). Ado Bayero. The mall is situated in the neighbourhood and has a well-balanced mix of commercial and residential properties. It is worthy to note that Ado Bayero Mall offers 24, 000 Square Meter of retail and entertainment space and has parking for 1000 automobiles; over 50 customizable shop space; film house cinema. This large mall in Nigeria was founded and developed by Beverly Development and Realties Limited (BDRL) and they are also responsible for the management of the mall
6. Silverbird Entertainment Centre
The Silverbird Entertainment Centre founded in 2009 and located in Abuja rapidly becoming a choice destination for entertainment and shopping in Nigeria. The mall offers 33,000 square meters retail space; luxury shopping; 12 screen cinema; VIP balconies; supermarket; entertainment centres. It is worthy to note that the Silverbird Entertainment Centre is an innovation of the Silverbird Group owned by Senator Ben Murray Bruce. 7. Novare Lekki Mall
