Thank God Buhari didn’t call Hilda before she broke the record – Shehu Sani

Former Nigerian senator, Shehu Sani, has urged Nigerians to give thanks to God because President Muhammadu Buhari did not call Chef Hilda Baci before she broke the record for the longest cooking hours.

The lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, took to his social media page to react after Baci broke the record for the longest cooking marathon on Monday morning, May 15 in Lagos state.

She achieved the feat after cooking for more than 87 hours and 45 minutes, a record which was previously set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon back in 2019.

Amid the outpouring of congratulations from different quarters, Sani said: “Nigerians should thank God that the President didn’t call Hilda on the phone before her win.”

Meanwhile, the Guinness World Records, on Monday, stated that it will review all the evidence first before officially confirming the record.

The clarification came after a Twitter user, AlexanderDGreat has wondered why the Guinness World Record remained silent about Hilda’s new record.

“Why is Guinness World Record not showing or talking about Hilda‘s cook-a-ton? Can’t see anything on their pages (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube),” he tweeted.

In response, GWR said; “We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record”.
