Teenager caught burying younger brother alive for allegedly stealing N1,000 (Video)
A young boy buried alive by his elder brother, has been rescued by some concerned residents in Apamisede area of Lokoja, Kogi state.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the elder brother was nabbed while torturing and burying his little brother alive.
The teen boy claimed that he was instructed by their mother to punish the erring boy for stealing 1,000 naira. The elder brother had already buried his sibling up to the neck level when he was caught by neighbours.
During interrogation, he said the little boy is fond of stealing and his mother who had gotten fed up with the constant theft instructed him to bury his brother alive.
He was accused of being either a yahoo boy or ritualists, but he denied the allegations and said he was only following instructions.
The elder brother was heard in the video speaking pidgin said; “He thief money. The last time he went to thief money, We dey ask am where he put the money, and I no know how much he thief oo but he said nah N1000. The last time he stole, nobody beat ham, and nobody touched Ham.”
When the people started flogging the elder brother and asking him to confess on who actually sent him to perform the alleged ritual, he said; “Nobody send me, nah my mother talk say make I punish am”.
A source privy to the incident disclosed that the matter had been reported to the Police Force, D Division, Lokoja.
