A Kaduna Chief Magistrates recently ordered a convicted thief, Garba Aliyu to sweep the court premises for three weeks for stealing a woman’s purse.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo informed the court on Thursday that the defendant trespassed into the shop of one Adanna Ebuka pretending to buy a loaf of bread in Kaduna.

Leo said that the convict went into the complainant’s shop and stole her purse, adding that it was however, recovered after police investigation. The 30-year-old suspect pleaded guilty to theft, and was convicted and sentenced accordingly.
