“Such is life” – DJ Cuppy speaks on failed engagement to Ryan Taylor (Video)

Nigerian music producer and Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, has finally broken silence on how she feels about her failed engagement to British boxer, Ryan Taylor.

She stated that life is full of ‘ups and downs’ regardless of one’s background, and in spite of her affluent background, her life has been unpredictable.

DJ Cuppy made the remark at the Wimbiz London Conference, where she opened up about her breakup with her fiancé, her failed jewellery business, and struggle with her academic pursuits in Oxford University.

She said she was okay with the ‘uncertainty’ of life as there is power in uncertainties and failure, adding that even the biggest and most successful women experience failure.

The billionaire heiress recalled how a jewellery line she established at age 28 failed, how she almost failed at Oxford University, and failed in her relationship.

In her words; “Failure is inevitable. We will all have failures in our personal lives and in our professional lives. Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background. Whether it’s my failed jewellery line which I did at 28 years old or going to the University of Oxford at 29 and almost failing class.

“Last year, I got engaged and I’m no longer engaged but such is life and I know my story is still happening and there’s more to come and I’m okay with the uncertainty”.

DJ Cuppy announced her engagement to British boxer, Ryan Taylor, in December 2022. He proposed to her at the Gumball Award night in Abu Dhabi.
