Mr Adeyemo, father of a little boxing prodigy who went viral in 2020, says the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare has not redeemed the pledge he made one year ago, to grant scholarship to his son, Ayomide Adeyemo following a stellar display of his skills in the ring.
In March 2020, the minister who was moved by a viral video of the Ayomide offered scholarship to the boxing sensation who was five years old at the time.
“Sequel to the viral video of a talented baby boy boxer [Ayomide Adeyemo] on the PUNCH Newspaper’s social media pages, I will be putting the baby in a boxing academy for further growth and also sponsor his education. Some financial stipends will be given for the upkeep of the lad as well,” Dare said.
He’s now six years old, and his father who doubles as his coach/trainer told The PUNCH that Mr Dare is yet to fulfil the education sponsorship promise he made a year ago.
