Spanish football club to honour Mohbad during match

Spanish La Liga club, Cadiz CF paid tribute to late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.

Ever since the 27-year-old artiste passed away on September 12, there have been tributes, grieving from fans and celebs both domestic and international, and calls for justice as it was alleged that he was killed.

Cadiz CF took to its Twitter page on Tuesday to express heartfelt condolences to family of the musician who was loved by many, and revealed its plan to honour him during a game. The club shared a jersey with the music star’s name customised on it.

According to the club, they intend to display a Mohbad jersey on their substitute bench during their game against Rayo Vallecano to give the team strength.

The post reads: “@iammohbad_ will be with us for tomorrow’s home game against Rayo Vallecano.

A tribute to late Mohbad has featured on a digital billboard in New York. Amid the candlelight processions being held across states in Nigeria for the rapper who died at the age o 27, a tribute to him recently appeared in the United States of America.

There were different pictures of Mohbad with captions that laid emphasis on the pain of losing him to the cold hands of death and how his legacy would live on.

A resident who spotted the huge billboard in Times Square, New York and was amazed, decided to capture it on camara.

β€œWill be remembered forever Mohbad legend are never forgotten RIP,” the text reads.
