Nigerian dancer, Tessy Yembra, who performed on different occasions with Juju musician, Sir Shina Peters, has died aged 63.
The Delta-native who was fondly called the Tina Turner of Africa, died on Wednesday in her Lagos home following an undisclosed illness. She has since been buried but special prayers will be held on the 8th and 14th days of her death.
The late Yembra was famous for her dance moves in the albums, Fuji Garbage by the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and Ijo Shina by Sir Shina Peters. She was also a close associate of late businesswoman, Adunni Bankole.
