CorrectNG earlier reported that a young Nigerian man questioned the paternity of his child born with sickle cell anemia (AS), given the genotype of him and his wife.

He dragged her to court because he is AA, she is SS, whereas their child is SS, and he believes it is medically impossible for that to have happened.

The distraught man made his plight known when he appeared before Justice Funmi Asaolu of the Justice Court during the judiciary themed reality programme.

He revealed that when their son got to 2 years, a test revealed that he was SS. The father claimed that the test had been done twice again on their son after that, and they (couple) had to undergo another test, which still showed that they were AA and AS.

He went on to tell the court that he became fed up with the whole situation and suspicious outcome so, he decided to opt for a DNA test.

The woman admitted that all her husband said was true, but she expected him to have come out straight to say what he had in mind about the DNA test rather than giving her attitude and pretending to worried only about their child’s genotype.

The judge who read out the result of the paternity test disclosed that the man is not the biological father of the child in question.
