Seyi Law denies saying he regrets supporting Tinubu

Famous comedian, Seyi Law has debunked the claim by Eedris Abdulkareem that he said he regrets supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

CorrectNG reported earlier that the musician said on The Honest Bunch podcast that Seyi Law told him that his decision his ‘biggest mistake’.

According to Eedris, the comedian apologised to the audience at a recent event he attended and even denounced his support for Tinubu.

However, commenting on a viral clip of the podcast on Twitter, Seyi Law denied Abdulkareem’s claims, saying he probably took his joke seriously.

He wrote; “Eedris dey exaggerate my jokes abeg. I wish I had the video of my performance. Na wetin make people dey vex for am be this.

The comedian added; Thanks for posting this first. I have been looking for someone who recorded my performance. So where did I tell Eedris I made the biggest mistake? Is it that he thinks a joke is a reality?”

Eedris Abdulkareem said he met the standup comedian at an event and they got talking about how he is affected by the situation in Nigeria.

He said Seyi expressed regret over his decision and lamented about how he’s received endless insults and curses over his support for Tinubu.

According to the musician, Seyi Law also revealed that he stopped receiving money from people at his shows, and that has he was not paid for ‘standing on his mandate.’

Eedris said; “I was in an event yesterday and Seyi Law, came up and said ‘Abeg make una no vex oo, everybody don curse me tired because I stand for Tinubu say, ‘Na your mandate I dey’, he said ‘I no dey your mandate again o”.
