Lagos-based socialite and Naira Marley’s close associate, Sam Larry, has stirred outrage online due to his recent decision to engage in charity work for school children.

He visited a primary school and donated writing materials to the pupils, just few weeks after he was granted bail over his alleged involvement in the death of Mohbad.

A video which is making rounds on social media platforms captured the political coordinator sharing exercise books to the kids in class.

As expected, his charitable work did not get laudable comments rather it left many with the opinion that he was only doing damage control because people ‘cancelled’ him.

Recall that last November, a Magistrate Court in Yaba granted popular musician, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley and Balogun Eletu alias Sam Larry, bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties.

Naira Marley, Sam Larry and two others were arraigned on October 6 and remanded over their alleged involvement in the death of former Marlian Music signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, on November 6, ordered the duo to submit their international passports as part of their bail conditions.

Olatunbosun also ordered them to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He also issued a stern warning that any attempts to contact her would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.
