Ronaldo’s mum dismisses claims of him wanting to break up with Georgina

Dolores Aveiro, the mother of football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has dismissed rumours that her son and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez are having issues in their relationship.

It was earlier reported that Ronaldo was unhappy in the six-year relationship and friends feared they may split.

But Georgina reacted with a post that hinted that it was just a rumour.

“The jealous one invents a rumour, the gossipy one spreads it and the idiot believes it,” she wrote.

Speaking on the matter during a shop opening in her native Madeira, Dolores Aveiro also said it was all falsehood.

When asked if there was any truth to the claims, She replied: “It’s all lies.

“Every couple argues, but what’s been written is a lie.”

The speculations about their possible split emerged as a result of a talk show ‘Noite das Estrelas’ on Portuguese television network CMTV.

A journalist, Quintino Aires who is a close friend of Ronaldo and the Portuguese star’s mother, Maria Dolores Aveiro, gave his honest take on the state of the couple’s love life.

AS reports that Aires claims Cristiano’s behaviours suggest that he is not satisfied with his personal life and indirectly pointed to Georgina as the cause.

“He does not live a moment of happiness and the further he moves away from his mother the less temperate he is. And we all know why he’s getting further and further away from his family.

“Georgina spends her day in a shopping mall in Riyadh and that’s one of the reasons why Cristiano is not amused by this story,” he said.
