The Director of Publishers of Trinitas Newspaper, Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese, Rev. Fr Uche Ukor has reportedly slumped and died while playing in a novelty match between the Catholic Priests in Asaba, Delta State.
Ukor who was a serving priest under the Onitsha Archdiocese of the Catholic Church and heading his Diocese’s Publishing Media arm, was said to have not been felt well lately due to Blood Pressure issues which possibly resulted to his tragic ending in Asaba.
“He slumped during a football match between priests of Onitsha diocese and Issele Uku diocese yesterday at Asaba. He wasn’t even playing. He was their coach. I’ve been in shock since a mutual friend called me last night to inform me of his demise,” a source revealed.
Eyewitnesses also revealed that the Priest who was in high spirits on Wednesday afternoon when he left Onitsha for Asaba to participate in the football match, has not been feeling well lately due to Blood Pressure issues.
