Rema allowed me to squat in his house for two years – Mavin artiste, Crayon

Rising Nigerian artiste, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has revealed that his Mavin Records colleague, Divine ”Rema” Ikubor accommodated him for two years before he hit stardom.

The 22-year-old ‘Ijo Loba’ crooner disclosed this in a recent interview with MTV Base Africa, adding that Rema was instrumental to his career success.

He said: “Shoutout to Rema mehn. That’s my brother for life. Rema was a big support, as well. He was very instrumental [to my career success]. You know what’s crazy? I stayed in his house for two years.”

Don Jazzy signed Crayon in 2019 to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, two years after giving record deals to Johnny Drille, Ladipoe and DNA Twins.

Ace Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, known by his stage name, Iyanya, has revealed that his colleague, Kingsley Okonkwo aka Kcee accommodated him when he first moved to Lagos.

He revealed this during a recent interview with Naija FM 102.7, explaining that Kcee allowed him to stay under his roof for two years.

The ‘Kukere’ crooner revealed that it was the Limpopo hit maker that bought him his first flight ticket from Cross River to Lagos state.

Iyanya also argued with the interview about their similar waist whining styles and noted that Kcee was a better dancer than him.

He said; “Kcee was the person who bought me my first [flight] ticket from Calabar to Lagos. And I stayed with Kcee for two years.

“So, na Kcee na him whine waist pass. I dey tell you since you no want hear na. We were together this morning before I came for this interview.”
