Rapper Vector reacts as police warn citizens to stop using ‘No gree for anybody’ slogan

Nigerian Hip Hop star, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, better known as Vector finds amusing the claim by the Police Force that the trending 2024 slogan “No gree for anybody” is dangerous and capable of inciting chaos.

Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, during a press briefing on Wednesday, January 10 warned citizens to refrain from using the slogan.

He said that based on intelligence gathered by the police, ‘No Gree For Anybody’ is a revolutionary phrase intended to trigger crisis across the country.

The police spokesperson said; “Let me say it again that the new slogan for 2024, “No gree for anybody.” We have been informed by intelligence that this slogan is coming from a revolutionary sector that may likely cause problems across the country.

“No gree for anybody’’ is being seen as a normal talk but in the security community we have seen it as a very dangerous slogan that can trigger crisis.’’

Reacting through his Twitter account, Vector wondered if Nigerians will actually listen to the police to stop using the slang. He also asked security person if they intend to ‘gree’ for thieves during operation.

The rapper tweeted; “Police say “ no gree for anybody “ is a slogan that should be cautioned… Una wan gree for thieves? 🤣”
