Ramadan: Adekunle Gold to donate 20 bags of rice to Muslims

Ace singer and songwriter, Adekunle Gold has sponsored the donation of 20 bags of rice to Muslim faithfuls in the month of Ramadan.

Influencer and businessman, Pamilerin Adegoke made this known through microblogging site, Twitter after a rice seller requested his patronage.

The woman with username @Irebamiolakanm1 tagged him and wrote; “Make @UnclePamilerin just do like he did last year, 20 bags will go along way sir 🙏”

In response, Pamilerin asked Adekunle Gold if he would be willing to fund the charitable act for Muslims observing fast. He later gave an update that the musician purchased 20 bags and approved the distribution.

He wrote; “Let’s run it for our Muslim brothers and sisters – courtesy @adekunleGOLD. AG Baby said we should give out 20 bags of rice to our Muslim brothers and sisters.”

CorrectNG reported earlier that the Jigawa State government approved the sum of N2.8 billion to feed the needy and vulnerable people in the state in the month of Ramadan.

Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Sagir Musa made this known in a statement issued on Thursday, March 14 in Dutse.

According to Musa, the decision to feed residents was reached at the executive council meeting on Wednesday, March 13.

The information commissioner explained that the gesture was aimed at easing the hardship caused by the current hike in the cost of food items in Nigeria.

He said the government had also approved 609 feeding centres across the state for Ramadan feeding, noting that a minimum of two centres had been approved for each of the 287 wards of Jigawa.
