Nigerian dancehall star, Burna Boy recently made history when he bagged his first Grammy award at the 63rd edition of the global award ceremony.
A photo of his Grammy award trophy has finally surfaced on social media days after the artiste’s ‘Twice As Tall’ won Best Global Music Album.
Burna’s album edged past Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar) to clinch the coveted Grammy award.
The afrobeat singer, whose real name is Damini Ogulu was ecstatic about his win as he has been spotted in different locations celebrating.
He is the first winner of the recently renamed category, formerly known as Best World Music Album. Many fans and celebrities both domestic and international have been congratulating him.
Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia better known as Tubaba, also took to Instagram to congratulate him and shared a photo of the award plaque.
