Nigerian singer, Peruzzi, has threatened to take legal action against a man who stirred controversy on Twitter with a photoshopped post.
The social media user created a photoshop tweet of Peruzzi alleging that his record label boss, Davido, cut him off because of an alleged affair with his wife, Chioma.
Peruzzi had on Wednesday distanced himself from the viral tweet which was circulated as a deleted screenshot emanating from his page.
He had issued a subtle warning to the creator @belikebaddy who posted the screenshot on Twitter with the caption; “You no go fold keh.”
Following his rebuttal, the graphic designer apologised to the popular musician and Davido on Thursday, after which promised not to repeat his action.
“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involved @peruzzi and @davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions have caused, and I promise it’ll never happen again. My apologies to DMW Management,” he wrote.
However, after Peruzzi maintained that said he was still going to take legal action and he made a case for the man to raise money for court case.
The singer wrote: “Y’all retweet this, so he can have money for court. God forgives, I do too. But not this time. F**k that.”
But @belikebaddy created another Twitter account @_unknown__mf and said if the artiste is not satisfied with his apology then he can do whatever he pleases.
“I don apologize, if your papa like make e no accept am na you sabi, i no get your time again. Career fail he wan con use me run pr for his next album without paying me, Life. Davido collect your songs you no sue am, na me wey just post wetin people post you wan con sue, Life,” he said.
