Oyo State Government Fixes Date for 2023 Common Entrance Examination

The Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is set to conduct Screening Exercise for primary six pupils transiting into Public Junior secondary schools in the coming academic session on July 31, 2023.

A circular, released by Mr. Yekeen M.B, the Registrar, on behalf of Mr. Olusanjo Adeniyi, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, in Ibadan and received by CorrectNG, provides details of the screening exercise. The examination will take place at various Public Schools across the state, commencing at 9:00 am.

The Permanent Secretary emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the screening/placement examination timetable. He called upon all Heads of School, concerned teachers, and students to ensure they follow the designated schedule.

This announcement showcases the proactive approach of the Ministry in facilitating a smooth transition for primary six pupils into the public junior secondary school system in Oyo State.

The circular reads: “Concerned people are enjoined to pass the information to all relevant stakeholders to ensure everyone is well-informed and adequately prepared for the screening examination exercise”.

“The Permanent Secretary also emphasized the importance of adhering to the designated timetable, encouraging students to prepare for the screening/examination.

“Head of Schools, concerned parents and students are admonished to regularly check for updates as well as further instructions from the state Ministry of Education,” the permanent secretary said.
