Our govt is primitive – Leo reacts to hospitals lacking space to treat victims of train-BRT collision

Big Brother Naija star, Leo has called out government’s ineptitude in relation to sad incident of a train crushing a BRT bus in Lagos state.

On Thursday morning, disaster occured when a moving train rammed into a state bus conveying civil servants to work.

The unfortunate crash occurred at the PWD bus stop in the Ikeja area of the state and six persons have been confirmed dead by emergency responders.

There was also a video of injured victims receiving treatment outside a hospital because there was no space inside the building.

Reacting to the development, Leo blamed government for not rendering quality service to the people despite stealing and cheating the masses.

He referred to Nigeria’s style of politics and governance as the primitive kind.

Leo wrote; “I don’t know mahn, imagine having a fatal accident in a staff bus owned by the government and there is no room in the government hospital to accommodate you?

This is why I call our politics primitive. We steal, cheat and kill to serve bare minimum to the people.”

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor had said over 82 others injured and evacuated to LASUTH.

“The State Government staff bus was trying to cross the PWD/Sogunle rail crossing while the train coming into Lagos from Abeokuta trapped the bus on its rail,” he added.
