Oshodi mob descend on policeman after he knocked down an old woman

An angry mob descended on a policeman in Oshodi and beat him silly after he and his colleagues knocked down an elderly woman.  The police who were stationed at Ile-ife junction began chasing an alleged Yahoo boy and in so doing knocked down a woman with their truck. The policemen fled leaving one of their colleagues behind to bear the wrath of the livid mob that formed afterwards

The police man begged for his life as bike men, touts and passersby  took their turns on him. It took the intervention of an elderly man to stop him from being lynched.

Policeman Mobbed At Oshodi For Allegedly Knocking Down Elderly Woman ___ A video of some residents of Oshodi, Lagos manhandling a member of the Nigerian Police Force has made it way online. According to report, the Police van knocked down an elderly woman at ile-film junction, oshodi, Lagos while they were driving recklessly chasing an alleged yahoo boy, his colleagues however drove off and abandoned him behind. In the video, the police officer seemed helpless as he was surrounded by able young men dragging him and another man could be seen driving punches at the police man, luckily enough an elderly man interfered sympathizing with the police officer, as he could be seen in the beginning of the video trying to pull the policeman off from the crowd but the crowd wouldn’t let him. The policeman could be seen helplessly trying to defend himself throughout and a voice could be heard in the background shouting ole, ole (meaning thief, thief) as the policeman tried to run from the mob.
