Organizer broke down in tears after Burna Boy cancelled event appearance – Shade Ladipo
Nigerian media personality, Shade Ladipo, has recounted how Afrobeats singer, Burna Boy allegedly made an event organizer cry by failing to appear for a show after receiving payment.
She said the organizer booked Burna Boy and made him the headline act for the show only for the self acclaimed African Giant to call and cancel two days before the scheduled date, saying he will refund the money.
Shade made the revelation while vilifying the singer during an episode of Bahd and Boujee podcast co-hosted by Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe.
According to her, the person who booked the singer called her on the phone and started crying because he said he will not be able to appear.
The TV and radio presenter lambasted Burna Boy on the podcast, saying he lacks integrity, which is a value that matters more than money.
She revealed that after Burna cancelled on them, they contacted Teni and she came to the venue to thrill the guests, ensuring that the show went well in the end.
Shade Ladipo said; “Burna Boy has no integrity, somebody contracted him for a show, they put his face on Eko Hotel road, but Burna Boy called two days before and said he cannot make it and will refund the money. The person who owned the show, called me, crying.”
