One killed, two injured as police officers open fire in Lagos night club

Five policemen stormed a nightclub on Friday night in Oshodi, Lagos and opening fire on patrons.

According to the report gathered, the policemen had gone to Crest Inn Club on Balogun Street Oshodi, to harass and arrest a boy but people refused to let them take him away because they claimed the boy was innocent.

The policemen eventually left the club when they discovered that their effort was futile, but later returned to the bar and started shooting at patrons, leading to the death of one man identified as Maliki Mohammed and two others were injured.

Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police said the officers suspected to be responsible have been arrested.
