Ondo governor, Rotimi Akeredolu tests positive for coronavirus

The governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

This was revealed in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30. His status comes after ex-governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi died of coronavirus complications.

Akeredolu joins the list of governors who have tested positive for the virus, making it a total of five.

Recall that Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state are the governors who have tested positive and recovered from COVID-19.
