Oliseh advises Osimhen to dump Napoli over controversial TikTok video

Former head coach of the Nigeria national men’s football team, Sunday Oliseh has advised Victor Osimhen to quit Napoli following his row with the club.

It may be recalled that Napoli mocked Osimhen by uploading a video on TikTok where it referred to him as a coconut, after he missed a penalty in the 0-0 draw at Bologna.

The 24-year-old then deleted all pictures and videos of the serie A club from his social media handles, and even snubbed his teammates when he arrived at the club’s hotel lodge.

Napoli later pulled down the video after facing backlash on social media platforms. But Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda hinted that the Super Eagles star is considering legal action against his club.

“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor,” Calenda said.

Taking to Twitter to comment on the issue, Oliseh wrote; “Forever proud to be Nigerian; One must show personality, work hard & refuse to be intimidated.

Let Racists and ingrates talk! That’s why they are eternal losers who secretly wish they were created like you! Osimhen needs to leave Napoli as soon as yesterday!!.”
