Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has referred to budding Hip Hop artiste, Tochukwu Ojogwu aka Odumodublvck as a new rapper.
He stated that Nigerian rap is big on drill music and noted that Odumodublvck is doing some impressive work in the rap industry in the country.
Davido made the remark when he appeared as a guest on a recent episode of Sway’s Universe hosted by American media personality, Sway.
The music star also said that Zlatan Ibile is a good rapper but the difference is that he fuses his Hip Hop with Nigerian culture like Afrobeats.
“Right now Nigerian rap is big on drill. There is this new rapper called Odumodublvck that’s killing it. Zlatan too is a rapper but he does more like Nigerian culture rap, so like he mixes it with Afrobeats. But we have musicians that’s like straight rap,” Davido said.

CorrectNG recalls that Davido caused a buzz in the Nigerian entertainment industry last year when he said he and his counterpart, Wizkid were the first young artistes to become successful.
He claimed that everybody is aware of the reality and noted that he was excited to see “new cats” dominating the music industry. Davido grouped Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy DML, Mayorkun and Asake as the ‘new cats’ who came after him and Wizkid.
He said; “Everybody knows that I was one of the first, Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun.
You know a lot of new cats coming, killing it…Asake who was on my album. So, yes, I think the future of Afrobeat is in good hands.”
