Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig-Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed, has ordered all serving corps members to desist forthwith from sharing camp activities on social media.
Ahmed issued the directive on Sunday while addressing the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp, Sagamu.
He said moments captured during the three weeks of exercise at orientation camps must only be for their consumption and not for the public.
The DG also urged them to take their safety more seriously than anything else and to make the best of their service year.
Ahmed said; “Don’t allow your service year to go idle without utilising it. No single hour should go unproductive. You must continue to do something in line with your goals.
“You are not expected to post camp activities on social media, whatever is recorded should be for your personal consumption.”

CorrectNG reported earlier that the NYSC Director General warned corpers against traveling without obtaining permission from the NYSC.
He said such act attracts punishment and sanctions, adding that no employer is allowed to grant permission to Corpers to travel.
Ahmed informed the Corps members that all services in NYSC are free and he warned that they should beware of online advertisers and fraudsters that may offer posting and redeployment to them for a fee.
The DG also implored the Corps members to adhere strictly to the NYSC dress code, adding that improper dressing in NYSC uniform attracts sanctions.
“You must also be wary of embarking on unnecessary and unauthorised journeys, take personal security seriously,” he said.
