Seasoned Nigerian actor and filmmaker, Junior Pope Odonwodo has reportedly died in a boat accident in Anambra state.
It was gathered that the 39-year-old actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River.
On Tuesday morning, Junior Pope shared a video on his Instagram page showing him aboard a boat and praying frantically to arrive at his destination safely.
He captioned the post: “See me lamenting……The risk we take to entertain you ; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…… Na wahoooooo …. Who does that ??”
The accident was said to have happened while the crew were returning from the location. Bodies of the drown victims have since been recovered. Junior Pope is survived by his wife and three children.
Fans and entertainers have started mourning the popular actor while many others still express doubt that he is truly dead.
