Nobody can force me to leave Nigeria – Peter Obi fires back at FG, APC

The 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has said no individual or group can force him out of Nigeria.

He made the statement at Onitsha Holiday Resort in Anambra State while responding to demands from senior officials of the ruling All Progressives Congress for him to leave Nigeria.

A former Minister of Aviation and APC chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode had challenged Obi to leave the country and never come back. It was a call he made in response to the LP flagbearer’s outcry that he was under pressure to fly out of Nigeria.

But the former governor of Anambra state accused the APC, and some government agencies of trying to divert the country’s attention from the infractions that marred the just concluded polls.

He then assured supporters that Labour party is committed to creating a new Nigeria because there are too many “thieves” inflicting suffering on the masses.

Obi said;“There is too much suffering in this country, and that is what we, in Labour Party, are fighting to end. There are many thieves in the country.

“So, Labour Party is fighting to create a new Nigeria. I am here with you, and nobody is going to force me to leave Nigeria.”
