Nigerians are neither protesting nor jubilating – Shehu Sani speaks on state of the nation

Former Nigerian lawmaker, Shehu Sani has shared his observation regarding the reaction of the citizenry to the jus concluded presidential election.

The vocal politician, in a series of posts on his Twitter page drew attention to a state of the nation where there is a conflict of emotions.

Sani noted that the people are not protesting over the result neither as they rejoicing that Bola Ahmed Tinuby was declared as president-elect.

According to him, there are indications that the nation will witness a long legal battle between the leading parties, APC, PDP and LP.

He said; ‘The state of the nation;No protests and no Jubilations.

Asiwaju’s peace overtures is good,but I don’t think it will produce any result with the PDP and LP Presidential candidates.The country will certainly be dragged into a long legal battle.

The ex-representative of Kaduna central in the senate also spoke on how Buhari’s reacted to the election result.

When we were voting some youths were playing football;were they sending us a message? Also President Buhari has never congratulated any person he contested against. President Buhari has gone to Court in all the elections he contrasted except the one he won.

The Forthcoming Governorship election is as important as the Presidential Election.Governors controls almost everything in the country.”
