A Nigerian tech founder, Dr Iretioluwa Akerele has revealed that she gifted her husband 10 Manchester United paraphernalia in celebration of Christmas last year.
She took to her Twitter page to share photos of the different items which she got from Man Utd store in 2022 alongside a handwritten note for each of them.
The gifts Akerele got for her hubby, who is a fan of the Red Devils include the club’s jersey, a mug, ball, a face cap, key holder, a customised Rashford shirt among others.
The PhD holder said she intends to surprised her partner and replicate the same gesture this year.
She wrote; “Last Christmas, I gave my husband 10 items from Manchester United store, with handwritten notes ❤️🤣”
“I can’t forget the look on his face. Mr Old Trafford was shocked 🤣 We go again this Christmas🤣 💪
“My woman @Xymbiz wrapped the gifts ❤️. The last item. No note because the delivery came later than expected.”
Her post went viral amassing over 720,000k views and generating massive buzz on the microblogging platform, with a lot of men asking other Nigerian women to learn from Dr Akerele. However, some also made sports related jokes.
