Nigerian man celebrates as he becomes Queen Elizabeth Scholar



A young Nigerian man identified as Jake Okechukwu Effoduh, has taken to social media to enjoin his followers to celebrate his newly attained academia and scholarly achievement.

In a LinkedIn post, Effoduh, announced that he is now a Queen Elizabeth Scholar (QES).

In addition to the big feat, he is also an Advanced Scholars Fellow with the centre for law, technology, and society at the University of Ottawa, Canada.

The QES program was instituted to honour the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.

“This program represents a unique opportunity to mobilize a dynamic community of young global leaders across Canada to create lasting impacts both at home and abroad through cross-cultural exchanges encompassing international education, discovery and inquiry, and professional experiences,” as written on the QES website.
