Nigerian churches have been soiled with hypocrisy – Simon Oladapo

A Communications specialist, Simon Oladapo has chastises Nigerian churches for allegedly accommodating hypocrisy.

He said that the church in Nigeria does not practice the teachings of Jesus Christ, rather by their action, they have shown that they are against Jesus.

Simon stated this on the heels of top clergymen in the country hosting politicians in church and at home while refusing to take a stand following allegations of widespread violence, rigging and voter suppression that happened during the 2023 general elections.

He said Jesus greatly condemned hypocrisy as revealed in Matthew Chapter 23 but it has sadly found itself into Nigerian church in ‘flesh and blood’.

He wrote; “A Church Against Jesus. No other sin received the strongest condemnation from Jesus like hypocrisy. None. Jesus condemned hypocrisy in the strongest terms in Matthew Chapter 23. The very hypocrisy that Jesus condemned has found its way into the Nigerian Church in flesh and blood, walking around on two legs.

And making loud declarations from the Pulpit. A Church that feasts with the ungodly not with a drive for their salvation, but for personal advantage and benefits. But this no one can argue: A Church that accommodates hypocrisy is a Church that is against Jesus.”

Meanwhile, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has rejoiced over the relocation of veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Aguba to his hometown.

It may be recalled that in 2022 residents of Enugu raised concerns about the actor being homeless and the cleric took him off the streets.

Chibuzor first moved him to his OPM estate in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, and said he is entitled to free food for as long as he wants to stay.

Months after the heartwarming gesture, the pastor took to Facebook to announce that he got a house for Aguba in his hometown, saying it was the actor’s wish to move back to Enugu.

Apostle Chibuzor added that he is placing him on a monthly allowance, and also currently looking for a shop where he intends to open a business for him.

The post reads; “THE RETURN OF AGUBA

“Today, 22nd March 2023 the veteran Nollywood actor Kenneth Chinwetalu popularly known as AGUBA returns to his hometown Enugu State. This is after a some months since the general overseer of OPM found him homeless and brought him to Port Harcourt, gave him a home, cared for him, had him medically evaluated and treated him properly.

Now he returns to his hometown, Enugu, where the man of God has gotten him an apartment, a care giver who Apostle chibuzor placed on monthly allowance and currently looking for a good shop to established a business for him because Enugu is where he said he desires to be, his hometown. AGUBA NO MORE HOMELESS.”
