Nigeria is celebrating her 60th Independence Day Anniversary today, October 1, and many citizens have been celebrating the historic moment while others are expressing their displeasure with the system of government and situation of things in the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari during his nationwide broadcast by 7am on Thursday, itemized key areas he believes his administration is doing better in comparison with past governments.
However, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB who have always called for secession, took to the streets to again demand a referendum to allow a breakaway from Nigeria.
The protest which took place on the streets of South Africa, was done alongside agitators from the South-west part of Nigeria, calling for the creation of Oduduwa Republic.
Nigerians who are active on social media, took to their handles to pen their thoughts on the cohesive demonstration between the two groups.
