Fact checking research-based firm, Africa Facts Zone says that Nigeria has successfully tackled eight different deadly diseases which have ravaged different countries in the world.

Among the eight diseases is the current pandemic, Coronavirus, which has been eliminated from the country. Recall that only two cases were reported in Nigeria with the first being an Italian man and the second, a Nigerian.

While the Italian man has reportedly responded to treatment, the Nigerian was reported to have tested negative after initially testing positive.

Africa Facts Zone listed Coronavirus, Ebola, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Zika Virus, West Nile Virus, Meningitis and Lassa Fever. Lassa Fever was listed because prior to the resurgence of new cases recently, the disease had been eliminated from the country in previous cases.

Taking to Twitter, Afirca Facts Zone wrote: “Nigeria has successfully tackled Coronavirus, Ebola, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, Lassa Fever (past outbreak), Meningitis, Zika Virus and West Nile Virus.”
