“Nicki Minaj remains the GOAT” – Tacha says following her 12th Grammy snub

Nigerian reality TV star, Natacha Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has declared Barbadian rapper, Nicki Minaj as the greatest female rapper of all time despite her Grammy woes.

Minaj received two nominations at the 66th edition of the Grammys, for “Barbie World” featuring Ice Spice in the Best Song Written For Visual Media and Best Rap Song, but she lost in both categories.

Nicki Minaj lose 12 Grammys

However, during the event on Sunday night, Grammy organisers “mistakenly” announced Nicki’s ‘Barbie World’ as the winner of the Best Rap Song category before later changing it to ‘Scientists & Engineers’ by Killer Mike and ‘Andre 3000’ featuring Future and Eryn Allen Kane.

The blunder angered fans of Nicki Minaj who has bagged 12 Grammy nominations over 20 years, but hasn’t won a single award.

Reacting to the continued snub, Tacha, who is a fan of Nicki Minaj, shared a picture of the ‘Anaconda’ crooner via her official Twitter handle with the caption: “Nicki Minaj still remains the GOAT.”

Meanwhile, in another news…

South African pop singer, Tyla Laura Seethal, professionally known as Tyla has won her first Grammy Award at the 66th edition on Sunday night.

The 22-year-old makes history as the first-ever winner of the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the Grammys.

Tyla’s ‘Water’ defeated songs by Nigerian singers: Davido’s ‘Unavailable,’ Asake’s ‘Amapiano,’ Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys,’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’ to clinch the award.
