Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez ”Naira Marley” Fashola has been arrested and arraigned by the Lagos State Police.
The controversial rapper was arraigned on August 6, before the Lagos State Special Offences Court for violating the COVID-19 order banning interstate travels earlier put in place to curb the spread of the virus.
Bala Elkana, Lagos state police spokesperson, said Naira Marley presented himself at the command headquarters.
“We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order. That is the aspect that concerns Lagos State,” he said.
Recall that the rapper jetted out to the Abuja, to hold a drive-by concert at the Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja which led the government to thereafter shut down the mall and stop operation of the airline whose plane he chartered.
