My parents’ failed marriage almost ruined my life – Yhemo Lee

Popular actor and musician, Idowu Adeyemi, professionally known as Yhemolee, has said that his parents’ seperation almost ruined him and his sister’s lives.

He said their parents separated when they were still young, so he had to take up the responsibility of sponsoring himself and his sister through school.

Yhemo Lee, who often brags about his nightlife expenses, made the revelation about his family in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo.

He said; “I saw myself and my sister through school. They [our parents] separated at a point when they could have damaged our lives.

“My parents were well-to-do. I mean, I went to one of the best schools at that time. But they left us all of a sudden.”

The singer added that he reunited his parents during his mum’s birthday last year and even took them clubbing. He said they are on good terms now.

Meanwhile, CorrectNG reported earlier that Yhemo Lee recollected how he helped Afrobeats sensation, Asake to meet Olamide.

The nightlife promoter said he and the ‘Joha’ crooner have been friends for about 13 years and when Olamide signed him it was an unbelievable moment.

Yhemo Lee stated this during an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo while narrating how he pleaded with the YBNL boss to give Asake a chance.

He said that he recorded a song which featured DanDizzy and YKB, so when Baddo heard the track, he liked it and reached out.

According to him, Olamide first asked for DanDizzy’s contact, saying that he wants them to collaborate and it was in the middle of their online conversation that he advocated for Asake.

Yhemo Lee said he was only hoping for the ‘Shakiti Bobo’ hit maker to bless Asake with a verse and not expecting a record deal.

He said that after a few chats, Olamide asked him to send an audio file of Omo Ope and he recorded on it without delay, afterwhich he sent it back to Yhemo.

He said Olamide started talking about promotion and about two days later, he revealed that he was interested in signig Asake to YBNL.

The promoter said he went straight to Olamide’s house where the contract was ready and waiting for them. Yhemo Lee added that it was that same day Asake signed the documents.
