A Nigerian woman has cried out online about the challenges she’s been facing after marrying an overtly religious man.
She wrote a painful letter to life coach, Dr Shola, narrating how her husband goes to church everyday and works for their pastor but does not receive salary.
The mother of four said he works as the pastor’s driver and protocol officer and refused to get a real job because he loves ‘working for God’
According to her, she complained to the pastor when they booked a counseling session with him, but the clergyman advised her not to stop him from doing that work.
She wrote; “I married a church man, this man will go to church every day of the week. I He is our pastor’s driver with no salary. He is our pastor’s protocol officer. He will stand in front and behind our pastor throughout the service.
He refused to get a real job because he wanted to work for God. We booked a counseling meeting with the pastor and he told me never to stop my husband from working for God. Dr. Shola, won’t it be good if God is paying him a salary? We have bills to pay and 4 kids to train.”

A Nigerian lawyer identified as Princess Jemaimah, who is married to Apostle Benjamin Ifeng, recently shared the struggles she contends with in her marriage.
She said that she battles with the reality of numerous women wanting to share her husband with her under the guise of seeking prayers or spiritual guidance.
Princess Jemaimah, in a post on her Facebook page encouraged people to pray for pastors’ wives as it’s not an easy role.
“When a lady that is burning for God says she doesn’t want to marry a pastor, please don’t judge her. it takes so much grace to share your husband openly with so many women who are even ready to insult you if you try to stop them from accessing him whenever they feel like it.
Most times she is lost, not knowing if these women have started banging her husband or it’s still spiritual things going on. please, pray for your pastor’s wife!
