My dad’s modest lifestyle prevented me from knowing he’s a billionaire – Davido

Ace Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke aka Davido has said he did not realise his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke was a wealthy man due to his humility.

The award-winning musician explained that he grew up not knowing what his father did for a living or that he was a billionaire.

Davido, who spoke during an interview, also revealed that it was when he reached 13 years that he realised they were actually an affluent family.

According to the FEM crooner, his father lived a very normal and modest life which made it difficult for him to know their actual worth in society.

He explained that the billionaire businessman used to drive a brand-new silver Honda Accord and he had only one driver.

Davido added that his mother owned just a Toyota or Honda truck, so he was completely clueless about their financial status.

He said his parents continued to live a modest life until they packed out of their residence to a new house.

When he saw the new building which was their new home, he started making inquiries about what his father dad did and found out that he was into business.

According to the DMW boss, even till present day, hisdad continued to be humble and modest with the way he spends and the way he conducts his business.

In related news, Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Nini Singh, has said that she would prefer being rich and sad to having happiness as a poor person.

The reality star stated this via her Instagram page and it stirred reactions from fans because she made it known that it will always be her choice no matter the circumstances.

Nini gave the response when she was asked to choose between having riches and being sad or being happy and living as a pauper.

The brand ambassador shared a video which showed her saying she ”would choose flying all over the world in her private jets, offending with Fendi, crying inside her palatial house or luxurious whip over being poor so that she can maintain her baby girl for life.

According to the Nigerian-Indian, crying in a Lambo is the lifestyle every young girl dreams of having.

She captioned; “Baby girl status for life, who else wants to cry in Lambo with me?”
