Mourners seen flogging relative’s corpse during funeral (Video)

A video which has stirred mixed reactions captures the moment mourners were exerting discipline on a deceased relative’s corpse.

The incident happened in an African country as part of the funeral rites.

The could be seen taking turns with a cane to flog the corpse which was inside an open coffin.

It was gathered that it is a common occurrence if the deceased committed suicide and the act of caning the body is usually done to ward off the spirit of suicide in the community.

In the clip, the mourners were moments away from lowering the casket into the grave when they paused and decided to all flog the corpse.

In other news, a lady recently ended things with her husband-to-be for getting a small house which they’d live in once legally married.

According to one @JIKAN_BABA on Twitter, the woman called off the wedding, not minding that she and her man had dated for 10 years.

Her fiance took her to the house but she complained that it was too small for her and demand a bigger one, saying if he does not grant her wish, she would cancel the wedding.

The post reads; My cousin’s wedding has been called off after 10years of courtship, he took her there to see working progress and she said the house is too small for her, n if he’s not getting a bigger one they should just call if the wedding.
