Nigerian football stars, Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi snubbed journalists that tried to interview them as they landed at the Abuja international airport.
Super Eagles lost 2-1 to Cote d’Ivoire in the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, last Sunday and Iwobi came under heavy attack online that he was forced to delete all his posts on Instagram.
A video which is circulating online showed the midfielder evading questions and taking a different direction when pressmen approached him.
In another part, Osimhen hissed and brushed aside a sports journalist that asked him; “How does it feel to be back home?”
But the Super Eagles forward asked them to leave him alone, saying; “Make une free me abeg, free me abeg.”

Popular rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu better known as Odumodublvck, has come to the defence of Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi following Nigeria’s failure to win the 2023 AFCON title.
The 27-year-old faced heavy criticism as a result of Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final at Alassane Ouattara stadium on Sunday.
But amid the harsh words, Odumodublvck took to his Twitter page and commended Iwobi’s performance and noted that he had a great tournament.
He lauded the team for taking the country to a stage that many people never expected, and expressed optimism that Super Eagles will bounce back.
Odumodublvck tweeted; “IWOBI HAD A GREAT TOURNAMENT. THE WHOLE TEAM TOOK US TO WHERE WE NEVER IMAGINED. WE WILL BE BACK 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬”.
