Mohbad went through a lot, I would’ve given him motivation if I was in Nigeria – Shatta Wale [Video]

Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale has condoled with the family of late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba also known as Mohbad.

He expressed concerns for the challenges Mohbad faced while alive and stated that he really went through a lot in life.

Shatta Wale, however, said he wishes he were in Nigeria and got to know him earlier because he would have given the musician some motivation.

In an live video, he said Mohbad was resting in power, and he sent a shoutout to the ‘Ko Por Ke’ crooner’s friends, fans, family.

The dancehall star also emphasised how happy he was with the way people are fighting for him, whereas if he were in Ghana,he would have been prosecuted.

“Mohbad really went through a lot, I feel so sad I wish I was in Nigeria, I would have given him motivation,” he said.

CorrectNG reported days ago that Mohbad’s management vowed to retrieve the artiste’s catalog and royalties from his former label, Marlian Music.

The 27-year-old music star’s team revealed that they intend to hand over the royalties, when reclaimed, to the five-month-old son he left behind.

In a statement released through micro-blogging platform Twitter, his management acknowledged the concerns expressed by fans and supporters as regards the musician’s works.

The statement reads; We appreciate the outpouring of love from the General Public following the passing of Mohbad.

The circumstances surrounding his death are truly painful and we are open to provide any cooperation necessary to the authorities to carry out any investigations.

Right now, we are focused on making sure the legacy of Mohbad lives on and he is remembered as he was in his final months; Free, Strong and fighting for his future.

Before his passing Mohbad was in court to retrieve the majority of his songs and unpaid royalties which were wrongfully held by Marlian Music.

We will continue the fight to retrieve his catalog and unpaid royalties so that through these, those he left behind, especially his son; Liam !mole, will be provided for.

We want #JusticeforMohbad, and We will appreciate all the support we can get in this fight to retrieve his catalog from Marlian Music, as this is the justice that Mohbad was working towards. Imole Lives On it.
