A Nigerian entrepreneur simply known as Abass has recalled how late musician, Mohbad promoted his business when he was in a tight position some years ago.
He said that in 2019 he slid into Mohbad’s DM on Instagram and begged him for some PR as he was just starting and looking to get customers so he could sort the increased rent for his shop.
According to the smartphone and accessories dealer, he was confused and decided to send messages to different celebrities to repost his, of which the rapper was among and responded positively.
Abass said Mohbad promoted his business three times without charging any fee and till date the gesture is still fresh in his memory.
He said that as a result of that act of kindness, he got 10 customers who still patronises him today .
Abass wrote; “Tbh… that guy is extraordinarily good. One of the reasons why he has occupied my whole thoughts since last week. Year was 2019 when I rented my first shop for @QualityGadgets_ . I was worried and a bit confused on how to meet up with the increased rent bill and all
I was really doing well on Twitter as regards sales but I want to do well on Instagram too so I started sending DMs to different celebrities for a free repost on their story.
I sent to Mohbad too and he reposted not once but thrice without stressing me at all free of charge. That singular action of his gave my IG more than 50 followers and like 10 sure customers that still patronizes me till this day. Mohbad has not really blown then but he was already making waves. Nigga was kind to me without knowing me from anywhere.”
