Mohbad: Court remands Naira Marley, Sam Larry in custody for 21 days

A Yaba magistrate court sitting in Lagos has ordered the remand of Nigerian rapper, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley and Lagos socialite Samson Balogun Eletu also known as Sam Larry.

The Lagos State Police prayed the court for a 30-day remand order for the musician and his associate, and the others to complete their ongoing investigation.

But Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that the duo will remain in custody for 21 days.

Few days ago, Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh lambasted Naira Marley for asking the Nigeria police to guarantee his safety before he will return to the country.

Marley who is among the prime suspects fingered in the death of the 27-year-old rapper has been out of the country alongside Sam Larry.

Although Larry was reportedly snuck into Nigeria last week, the Marlian Music boss remains abroad. He insisted that he would return to Nigeria to assist with the investigation into the death of his former signee, Mohbad only if the authorities would guarantee his safety.

Reacting to the development, Tonto said his request for guaranteed safety is laughable. She accused Naira Marley of actively bullying, assaulting and setting Mohbad up till he felt like ending his life.

The actress said the ‘Tesumole’ crooner never guaranteed Mohbad’s safety when he was alive and as such he has no right to make such demands.

Dikeh captioned her post: “No sleep for the wicked.”

The mother of one added; “Naira Marley you want your safety to be guaranteed? Laughable. But you never gave #Generalmohbad a chance at life free of bullying, extortion, violence, drug abuser.

Set ups, beatings, terror and fear of one’s life till the point he felt unaliving himself would be better than facing your ( Naira Marley/sam Larry) wrath. You never guaranteed his safety and always hurt him at every given chance!!”
