Mohamed Salah set to undergo Al-Ittihad medical

Mohamed Salah is set to have his Al-Ittihad medical this week ahead of signing for the Saudi club.

Football pundit, Richard Keys told talkSPORT that the Liverpool star is definitely leaving Anfield and the move is at an advanced stage.

The Reds, through their manager, Jurgen Klopp has maintained that Salah is not leaving the club.

“Now. Mo Salah. He’s definitely leaving Liverpool. I think we all agree on that. What we don’t know is when, but don’t be surprised if it’s this week. Or – perhaps everybody waits until the international break, but right now the deal to take him to the Saudi league is very much on.

“You’ve got to understand that what we hear in our part of the world is very different to what’s being said in the U.K. We’re a whole lot closer to the source,” Key said.

“Messages were being received from people bang in the middle of the deal telling us that they’d got so far as arranging a medical this week,” he added.

Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen is said to be ready to sign a contract extension if his salary is bumped up to $8million a year.

Tutto Napoli reports that the Nigeria international is demanding €8 million (N8 billion) per year before he agrees on a new contract.

Osimhen moved to the Serie A club two years ago and played a crucial role as they won the title after 33 years last season.

The Super Eagles star scored 26 goals in the league and another five in the Champions League as Napoli went all the way to the quarterfinals for the first time.

In the offseason, Osimhen has been targeted by top clubs like Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich. However, Napoli are hoping to hold onto the player and want to extend his contract till the summer of 2027, as his current deal will expire at the end of next season.

Osimhen currently earns €6 million (N6 billion) per year, but the Serie A champions want to increase his pay to €7 million per year.
