Men of God extorted me when I sought healing for my mother – Actor Jim Iyke

Famous Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke has opened up on what led him in search of a solution for his mother at the late TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church Of All Nations.

It may be recalled that in 2013, Jim Iyke visited SCOAN to seek healing for his mother, Mrs Ngozi Esomugha.

Speaking in an interview with Teju Babyface, the Nollywood star said he was deceived and extorted by about six different clerics who promised that his late mum would live.

The seasoned actor said that after several men of God failed him, desperation made him seek healing for his mother at TB Joshua’s church. Unfortunately she died on April 1, 2014.

Jim Iyle said, “I will never be desperate again in my life. Desperation was what took me there, to take my mother there, hoping that a man of God would heal her. If she were to live, 20 TB Joshuas would not stop her.

“It was her time, nobody would have made me enter that space, he was not the only one I went to, I have been to five or six men of God, is it because I do not want to mention names? How they drove me, the money they took from me”.

Meanwhile, in another news…

CorrectNG reported last year that the actor revealed the video of him beating up fellow actor, Uche Maduagwu was part of a staged promo for his movie.

He said he paid Maduagwu to allow himself be beaten during a confrontation in 2021, so that he could promote ‘Bad Comments’.

Iyke said, “I called the man, we had an understanding, I paid very well for it, rolled out the script, called Moses in, we shot it and we’re about to release the ending of it. I’m not stvpid. I will never make that kind of mistake.

“We buried over N20m in the production of that film and people were still viewing it with a certain degree of cynicism. Immediately there was a scandal, it caught fire.”
