Popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Mayorkun, has stirred reactions online after mentioning someone other than his ex-boss, Davido, as the musician that inspires him.
The former DMW signee revealed that multi-award winning singer and rapper, Olamide is the artiste and songwriter that he derives inspiration from.
Mayorkun shared a video of himself freestyling via Snapchat and in the process gave kudos to Olamide for inspiring how he writes his music.

Davido signed him to DMW Records in 2016 where he released his debut single, ‘Eleko’. But in 2021, Mayorkun parted ways with the music label.
